The DAAD is a joint organisation of German institutions of higher education. Our aim is to promote academic co-operation world-wide, especially through the exchange of students, scholars, academics, and scientists. Beside its headquarter in Bonn, the DAAD runs 14 regional offices in selected cities all over the world. The DAAD Jakarta Office opened in 1990, documenting the long tradition of Indonesian-German ties in higher education. Its mission is to nurture that excellent relationship.
